Equipment carrying an MID certificate is approved so that the weight printed on the label has legal standing with the customer and with the inspector: it is the requirement for selling by weight, not simply a quality badge.<\/p>\n<p>In practice it means the instrument has passed type examination and that its verification and sealing are maintained throughout its working life, with periodic reverification. It stops underweight trays going out against the declared quantity, and overweight ones going out at a loss.<\/p>\n<h3>Piston or air applicator \u2014 which is better?<\/h3>\n<p>The pneumatic piston applies the label by contact and is the standard solution. Air-jet blowing places it without touching the product, which matters on irregular or delicate surfaces, or where contact would drag the film. The 90\u00b0 rotating applicator also lets you change label orientation.<\/p>\n<h3>Can it label underneath the tray?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes, it takes top, bottom and side positions. In the bottom position, application is by contact only; the air and rotating options are available on the top labeller. Front or rear positions are quoted per project.<\/p>\n<h3>Which barcodes does it print?<\/h3>\n<p>EAN-8, EAN-13, EAN-128, CODE 128, ITF-14, QR code, GS1 Datamatrix and GS1 Databar, with up to four codes per label.
