This is the fundamental difference from an internal-use platform: only an approved instrument can be verified and therefore used when the weight determines the amount of a transaction.<\/p>\n<p>That verification is carried out on the <strong>installed assembly<\/strong> \u2014platform, load cells and indicator\u2014 and is governed by the Spanish <strong>Metrology Law 32\/2014<\/strong> and <strong>Royal Decree 244\/2016<\/strong>: verification before being put into service, <strong>periodic verification every two years<\/strong> by an authorised Control Body and re-verification after any repair that affects measurement.<\/p>\n<h2>What is supplied<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Four load cell platform with black enamelled steel structure and 4.5 mm checker plate.<\/li>\n<li>Steel OIML R-60 C3 load cells with IP66 protection.<\/li>\n<li>ABS junction box with IP66 protection.<\/li>\n<li>Height-adjustable feet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The weight indicator and, if applicable, access ramps are selected separately according to the application.<\/p>\n<h2>Bernad\u00ae installation and technical service<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Jos\u00e9 Bernad, S.L.<\/strong> has been installing floor scales and weighing assemblies from Albacete for almost 40 years. We are a team of 35 people and have our <strong>own technical service<\/strong>, with technicians on staff who travel to your facility to install, calibrate and service the equipment.<\/p>\n<p>We offer <strong>pairing of the platform with the indicator<\/strong>, <strong>programming<\/strong> of the assembly and <strong>commissioning<\/strong> with calibration at the final location \u2014the only place where calibration is valid\u2014 as a service, as well as handling verification when the use requires it.<\/p>\n<h2>Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n<h3>Why a checker plate and not a smooth one?<\/h3>\n<p>Because the raised pattern of the checker plate provides grip: it prevents slipping when stepping on it and stops pallets sliding when set down. In exchange, it retains more dirt than a smooth plate, so it is preferred in dry areas. In rooms with wet cleaning, a stainless steel platform with a smooth plate is better.<\/p>\n<h3>What IP66 protection do the load cells have?<\/h3>\n<p>IP66 means complete dust-tightness and resistance to powerful water jets. It is a sufficient rating for warehouses, covered loading docks and workshops, even with occasional floor sluicing. For systematic washing or immersion, it is advisable to move up to IP68 or IP69k load cells.<\/p>\n<h3>Does it need civil works?<\/h3>\n<p>No. The MTX is designed for above-floor installation, i.e. resting on the existing floor. It is the quickest option to get up and running and allows the scale to be relocated if the layout of the building changes. Access ramps are usually added for loading with a pallet truck.<\/p>\n<h3>What is the difference between the MTX and the MMX?<\/h3>\n<p>They are very similar in construction, but the MTX is valid for legal metrology and has load cells with an OIML R-60 C3 certificate, while the MMX is declared for internal use and has nickel-plated steel load cells. If the weighing has commercial effects, the choice is the MTX.<\/p>\n<h3>Where is the junction box placed?<\/h3>\n<p>The junction box gathers the signals from the four load cells and sends them to the indicator through a single cable. On the MTX it is made of ABS with IP66 protection. It should be placed where it is accessible to the technical service and protected from forklift traffic, which is the usual cause of broken cables.<\/p>\n<h3>How often does it need to be calibrated?<\/h3>\n<p>If the instrument is subject to metrological control, periodic verification is every two years and is carried out by a Control Body. Aside from that obligation, for heavily used floor scales an annual check with test weights is advisable to detect drifts before they affect work.<\/p>\n<h2>Alternatives and related
