In that scenario it is advisable to check the unit with test weights as part of the company&#8217;s quality plan, especially if the scale is frequently knocked.<\/p>\n<p>If the weight is going to determine the amount of a commercial transaction, the Spanish <strong>Metrology Law 32\/2014<\/strong> and <strong>Royal Decree 244\/2016<\/strong> require an approved instrument, verified before being put into service and with <strong>periodic verification every two years<\/strong> by an authorised Control Body. We are a team of 35 people and have our <strong>own technical service<\/strong>, with technicians on staff and spare parts in-house, without subcontracting support.<\/p>\n<p>We offer <strong>assembly of the set<\/strong>, <strong>programming of the indicator<\/strong> \u2014units, gravity adjustment, print language and RS232 output format\u2014 and <strong>commissioning<\/strong> with calibration at the final location as a service, as well as periodic servicing.<\/p>\n<h2>Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n<h3>What does a 3.5 mm plate mean compared with a thicker one?<\/h3>\n<p>Less dead weight and a more manageable assembly, in exchange for less margin against very concentrated point loads. For the usual packages, bulk bags and drums in a warehouse it is sufficient; if forklifts are going to drive over it or loads are going to be dropped onto it, a 4.5 or 5 mm plate is advisable.<\/p>\n<h3>What are the four metres of cable for?<\/h3>\n<p>To separate the indicator from the platform and place it where it does not get in the way or get knocked: on a column, on the wall or on a nearby table. As it comes with the right length included, improvised splices are avoided, which are the usual cause of unstable readings.<\/p>\n<h3>What do the indicator&#8217;s 7 status LEDs provide?<\/h3>\n<p>They show at a glance what mode the unit is working in: whether tare is applied, whether the reading is stable, whether it is in piece counting or high resolution. It avoids having to navigate menus to find out why the display is showing a particular value.<\/p>\n<h3>Can I work in pounds?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes. The IFZ supports kilograms and pounds. The pound option is practical when goods are shipped to markets that document weight in that unit, because it avoids manual conversions and the transcription errors that usually come with them.<\/p>\n<h3>What is the difference between the IFZ and the IFN?<\/h3>\n<p>The IFZ has a 3.5 mm checker plate, includes four metres of cable and a column bracket, and its indicator offers totalising, tare and preset tare, x10 high resolution and print languages. The IFN has a plate welded to the structure, 10 mm adjustable feet and external calibration.<\/p>\n<h3>Does it need works to be installed?<\/h3>\n<p>No. It is installed above floor: it rests on the floor and is levelled with the adjustable feet. Access ramps are usually added for loading with a pallet truck; if you prefer to work flush with the floor without ramps, the option is a pit-mountable platform.<\/p>\n<h2>Alternatives and related
