How do I choose the right condensing unit for my cold room?

Choosing correctly requires knowing: the cold room volume (m³), the required storage temperature, the estimated heat load (door openings, product, lighting) and the outdoor ambient temperature where the unit will be installed. What is the expected service life of a condensing unit?

With proper preventive maintenance (condenser cleaning, pressure checks, oil monitoring), a quality condensing unit can last 10 to 15 years or more. The compressor is usually the limiting component; semi-hermetic models allow valves to be replaced and oil to be changed on site, which extends service life compared with hermetic models, where the whole compressor must be replaced.
