Description

Scroll Pack condensing units for high-efficiency compact refrigeration

Scroll Pack Condensing Units are compact refrigeration units equipped with high-efficiency scroll compressors, integrated in a compact casing or frame that makes installation and transport easier. Scroll technology provides smoother, more continuous compression than reciprocating compressors, with fewer moving parts, lower noise and a longer service life. The Pack format groups the scroll compressor with the condenser and circuit accessories in a ready-to-connect assembly.

Applications

Small and medium cold rooms; commercial installations where noise and vibration matter; applications requiring compact, efficient equipment; hospitality and catering installations where energy efficiency is a priority.

Standards and compliance

Scroll Pack condensing units comply with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the F-Gas Regulation (EU) 517/2014. Installations must comply with UNE-EN 378 on refrigeration systems.

FAQs

What is the advantage of a scroll compressor over a piston compressor?

A scroll compressor compresses continuously using two concentric spirals (one fixed and one orbiting), without the suction and discharge valves of reciprocating compressors. This means lower noise, no vibration from valve impact, lower energy consumption per cycle and a longer service life, as fewer parts are subject to wear. On the other hand, scroll compressors are more sensitive to operating conditions outside their range and are generally more expensive than equivalent reciprocating compressors.
