Description

The GI410i PRINT is a weighing indicator with stainless steel housing and built-in thermal printer, approved for 6000 divisions OIML class III and IV and CE certified. It shows the weight on a 40 mm backlit LCD and issues the ticket on the unit itself, using 58 mm paper at a resolution of 203 DPI.

It handles weighing where a paper receipt is needed without depending on a PC or an external printer. The stainless steel housing makes it suitable for the damp environments of the food industry, and the integrated printer lets you hand the ticket to the haulier or customer at the moment of weighing.

Approval, verification and ticket validity

The GI410i PRINT is approved for 6000 divisions OIML class III and IV and is CE certified, so it can be integrated into a weighing instrument for regulated use. In Spain that use is governed by Metrology Law 32/2014 and Royal Decree 244/2016: the assembly must be verified before being put into service, undergo periodic verification every two years by an authorised Control Body and be re-verified after a repair that affects measurement.

As for the paper it issues, Spanish Royal Decree 1619/2012 regulates the simplified invoice, the document that has replaced the old till receipt. For the weighing receipt to be valid as a simplified invoice, it must include the data required by that regulation, including number, date, tax ID and address of the issuer, description, tax rate and total consideration. The three headers programmable from a PC allow the ticket heading to be configured with that data.

What paper does the GI410i PRINT use?

58 mm wide thermal paper, the usual format for ticket printers. Printing is done at 8 dots per millimetre with a resolution of 203 DPI and a maximum speed of 50 mm per second, with a column width of 40 or 42 characters depending on the configuration chosen.

Is the printed ticket valid as an invoice?

It can serve as a simplified invoice if the header is configured with the data required by Royal Decree 1619/2012: number and series, date, tax ID and address of the issuer, description of the transaction, tax rate and total amount. The unit allows three headers to be programmed from a PC to include that information.

What ticket formats can it issue?

It prints in simple weight, piece counting, checkweigher, totalising and accumulation with totalising formats, all with editable headers. It also generates listings of totals, by item and by date, useful for closing the day or for documenting a complete batch without using external software.

Why choose the stainless steel housing?

Because it withstands moisture, cleaning products and continuous contact in food environments better than a plastic housing. The unit’s protection is IP54, which covers dust and splashes, so direct water jets on the indicator should be avoided when washing the workstation.

Can it also be connected to a computer?

Yes. It has two RS232 outputs as standard, so it can print the ticket on its integrated printer and at the same time send the data to a PC or management software. Headers and formats are programmed from the computer, and printing supports five languages.

How does it differ from the GI400 LCD ABS?

The GI400 LCD ABS has an ABS housing, no printer and is supplied with a tilting wall bracket included. The GI410i PRINT has a stainless steel housing and integrated thermal printer, and its wall bracket is optional. Both share a 40 mm display, two RS232 ports and approval for 6000 divisions.
