Description

The TMZ 30 kg platform scale with a 35 x 45 cm deck is a column scale with a stainless steel pan, an IP65 aluminium load cell and a BR15 indicator with 30 mm digits. Its short range makes it the fine-reading option in the TMZ family: portioning, quality control and weighing small batches.

Why a column scale of only 30 kg

Fitting a column to a low capacity scale sounds contradictory until you see the station it is made for: places where you weigh a great deal and very little at the same time. A portioning line, a quality control bench, a packing station or a plant laboratory runs hundreds of small weighings a day, with the operator on their feet. The column raises the display to eye level and removes the act of bending on every cycle.

The point of this model is resolution. For the same number of divisions, a 30 kg range gives a far finer reading step than 150 or 300 kg. So it is the right reference when what matters is not how much the item weighs but how far it deviates from target: portion trays, spice sachets, batches of pieces, tubs, cutting-room trim.

The 35 x 45 cm pan matches that use. A small gastronorm tray, a handling crate or a grouped batch fits, without taking more bench space than necessary at a station where tools and product already compete for room.

Checkweighing by limits: turning the scale into a go / no-go gauge

In precision weighing at high repetition, two functions change how the station works. The first is weight and piece checking by limits, with visual signal and alarm: you set a minimum and a maximum, and the equipment warns when a weighing falls outside the range. The operator stops reading and interpreting figures and starts reacting to a signal, which is faster and goes wrong less often.

The second is the set of four hold modes. On a portioning bench, stable with auto zero reset lets you chain weighings without pressing anything in between: the scale freezes the value as it settles and returns to zero by itself when the load is removed. Over short, repeated cycles that saves one keypress per piece.

Piece counting with accumulation and totalising completes the picture for counting by weight, and the three AD converter speeds let you filter the signal harder if the station sits near machinery that vibrates.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose 30 kg if my product weighs much less?

That is exactly the reason. The closer the capacity is to the real weighing, the finer the reading division. Choosing a 150 kg scale to weigh 2 kg trays wastes resolution: the reading moves in steps too coarse to catch a small deviation.

How does checkweighing by limits work?

You program a minimum and a maximum weight, and the equipment gives a visual signal and an alarm when a weighing falls outside that range. It turns the scale into a checker: the operator does not read and interpret a figure on every piece, only responds to the warning.

Which hold mode suits a portioning line?

Stable with auto zero reset. It freezes the reading as the weight settles and returns to zero automatically when the load is taken off, so weighings chain one after another with no key pressed between pieces. On short cycles it saves a keypress per unit.

What is the verification scale interval e?

On a trade approved instrument, e is the interval used to express its accuracy and its permitted errors, and it is not always the same as the division d you read on the display. It is what determines the accuracy class, so it matters when an approved scale is specified.

Can the weight be recorded on a computer?

Yes. The RS232 output sends data formatted for a PC or a printer, so weighings can be dropped into a management program or printed as a record. Accumulation and totalising make it easy to close the total for a complete batch.

How does it differ from the TMZ 150 kg?

They share the structure, column, BR15 indicator and functions. Capacity and pan change: this one is 30 kg with a 35 x 45 cm pan, aimed at fine reading; the 150 kg has a 50 x 40 cm pan and covers goods-in and larger packages.
