Description

The TZ scale is a series of single load cell bench scales with removable BR15 indicator and stainless steel pan, available in two platform formats: 400 x 300 mm (P version) and 500 x 400 mm (M version). Both have an IP65 aluminium load cell, 30 mm LCD display, RS232 output and 6 V / 4 Ah battery.

What it is for

The TZ series covers counter, bakery and warehouse weighing with a defining feature: the indicator separates from the platform. This lets you leave the scale on the work table and take the display to reading height, to a column or to the wall, freeing yourself from the awkward posture of looking down.

• Butcher’s and delicatessen: weighing cuts and trays with the display mounted on a column above the counter.
• Bakery and production kitchens: dosing into tubs with the platform on the table and the display anchored to the wall.

Functions: accumulation, totalising, piece counting, zeroing, four hold modes (off, moving animal, peak value, stable and stable with auto-cancel to zero), three-level weight and piece control, gross/net and tare.

Approval and metrological verification

Spanish regulations reserve weighing with commercial effects for approved and verified instruments. This is established by Metrology Law 32/2014 and Royal Decree 244/2016, which require verification before being put into service, periodic verification every two years by an authorised Control Body and re-verification after any repair that affects measurement.

If the TZ is used for internal control —losses, counting, order picking or dosing— that obligation does not apply. If it is going to be used for selling by weight, tell us when requesting a quote and we will confirm the appropriate configuration before finalising the order.

Frequently asked questions

Which version of the TZ scale should I choose?

The P version, with a 400 x 300 mm pan, fits counters and tables with limited depth, for normal-sized cuts and trays. The M version, at 500 x 400 mm, is the right choice when weighing boxes, tubs or large trays that would overhang the small pan and make the weighing unstable.

Why is a removable indicator useful?

Because it separates the reading from the weighing point. The display can be mounted on a column or anchored to the wall using the holes provided, so the operator looks at it straight on instead of bending over the platform. It also frees up work surface on narrow counters.

How much battery life does it have?

The 6 V, 4 Ah rechargeable battery offers about 120 hours of work with the display backlight on and about 160 hours with it off. It also works connected to the mains with its 240 Vac, 50 Hz AC/DC adapter, and switches itself off after the programmed period of inactivity.

What weight units does it support?

The BR15 indicator manages three groups of configurable units: kilograms, tonnes and grams; pounds and pound-ounces; and local units such as Taiwan Jin, CA or VISS. In Spanish practice kilograms and grams are used, but the flexibility helps when exporting.

Can it be connected to a computer?

Yes. The RS232 output sends data in two formats, one for PC and one for printer. It is the usual way to take weighings to a spreadsheet or management software. Configuring the format is part of the programming services we offer.

What is gravity adjustment for?

Because the weight shown by a scale depends on local gravity, which varies with latitude and altitude. If the unit is calibrated at the factory in one place and used in another, the reading deviates. The TZ allows that value to be configured.
