Description

The FOB scale is a single load cell scale with column bracket included and BR80 display with 20 mm red LED display. It is configured in four stainless steel platform sizes with three possible capacities, on a painted steel tubular structure and IP65 aluminium load cell, with RS232 output for PC, printer or repeater.

What it is for

Its strong point is the range of combinations: four pan surfaces and three capacities allow the equipment to be matched to what is actually weighed, instead of settling for a standard size. The column comes included, so the display is at eye level from day one.

Approval and metrological verification

The legal framework for weighing in Spain is set by Metrology Law 32/2014 and Royal Decree 244/2016. When the scale is used to determine the amount of a transaction, the instrument must be approved, verified before being put into service and subject to periodic verification every two years by an authorised Control Body, as well as being re-verified after a repair that affects measurement.

For internal control —losses, counting, dosing or order picking— that obligation does not apply. Tell us the intended use and the platform size you need and we will confirm the right configuration when preparing the quote.

Frequently asked questions

How many configurations does the FOB scale have?

The data sheet lists four stainless steel platform sizes and three possible capacities, so the combination is chosen according to the actual work. Size the pan according to what you weigh and the capacity with a margin above the usual load.

What is a weight repeater and what is it for?

It is an auxiliary display that shows the same weight as the main display, usually facing the customer or another workstation. The FOB’s RS232 output can feed it, just like a printer or a computer, depending on what is connected.

What is the difference between tare and manual preset tare?

Tare deducts the weight of the container placed on the pan at that moment. Manual preset tare allows a known value to be keyed in in advance —the weight of a standard box, for example— without needing to weigh it. It greatly speeds up work with repeated containers.

What is x10 high resolution for?

It shows the weight with ten times more detail than the normal reading, which is useful for checking the unit’s adjustment or noticing small differences in internal control. It is not a reading intended for commercial transactions, but a verification aid.

How long does the battery last?

The internal rechargeable battery is 6 V and 4 Ah and offers about 24 hours of battery life, enough for a full working day without a socket. The adapter accepts 100 to 240 Vac and 50 to 60 Hz, and automatic power-off avoids using up charge when the unit is idle.

Can it print in other languages?

Yes, the BR80 indicator allows the print language to be selected. This is useful when the receipt accompanies goods shipped outside Spain or when the recipient of the document works in another language, which is common in dispatch and logistics.
