The BOC counting scale shows total weight, piece weight and number of pieces at the same time on three independent 6-digit displays, and lets you enter the sample value directly via the keyboard. It has a 295 x 230 mm stainless steel pan on an ABS housing, with IP44 protection and a resolution of 30,000 divisions.

What it is for

It is designed for counting by weight at the workstation, where it is useful to see all three values at once without switching displays. The option of keying in the sample value saves time when the piece weight of the item is already known in advance.

  • Warehouse: stocktaking of small, uniform items by weight instead of counting them by hand.
  • Dispatch: picking orders by quantity, with an alarm when the set number of pieces is reached.

Functions: zeroing, successive tare, accumulation of weighing results, piece counting by taking a sample or entering the piece weight, and an alarm when the set piece limit is reached.

Approval and metrological verification

The BOC is an internal control device: counting, stocktaking and order picking. For those uses there is no obligation for periodic metrological verification, and an in-house checking plan with test weights is enough to ensure that the count remains reliable.

When the weight determines the amount of a sale, the Spanish Metrology Law 32/2014 and Royal Decree 244/2016 require an approved instrument, verified before being put into service and subject to periodic verification every two years by an authorised Control Body, plus re-verification after any repair that affects measurement. Frequently asked questions

What is the advantage of entering the piece weight via the keyboard?

You do not need to repeat the sampling each time. If the piece weight is already known, you key it in directly and the scale starts counting. It saves time on regular items and avoids the error of taking too small a sample, which is the main source of counting deviation.

What is successive tare?

It lets you chain several tares without zeroing between them: tare the box, add the first contents, tare again and continue. This is common practice when filling packages in layers or when you need to separate the weight of several items in the same container.

What units does it work in?

It depends on the capacity chosen: the 3, 6 and 15 kg models display the weight in grams and pounds, while the 30 kg model does so in kilograms. This is consistent with the use: the smaller the capacity, the higher the resolution and the more sense it makes to read in grams.

What does a resolution of 30,000 divisions mean?

That the electronics divide the capacity into 30,000 internal steps. The higher that figure, the finer the piece weight the scale can distinguish and the more reliable it is for counting light pieces. If you work with very small pieces, the BCP and BCD models reach 60,000 divisions.

Why are the spirit level and adjustable feet important?

Because a tilted scale measures incorrectly. The spirit level shows when the unit is properly seated and the four adjustable feet allow you to correct an uneven table. It is the quickest check you can do when the weight shown does not match what you expected.

What is the included cover for?

It is a protective film that covers the keyboard and prevents dust, moisture and splashes from reaching the keys. Together with the unit’s IP44 protection, it extends the life of the scale in warehouses and work areas where cleaning is frequent.
