The DINA DQ-950 hanging retail scale is a suspended price computing scale with a 15 kg capacity and 5 g division, a 12.1 in TFT touch screen for the operator, a 7 in TFT customer display and EC verification. Hanging it frees the whole counter surface, which is why it is the usual choice on greengrocery, fishmonger and market stalls.
Why the hanging format earns its place
On a greengrocery or fishmonger stall the counter fills up with produce, crates and ice, and a benchtop scale takes exactly the space needed to serve. The hanging DQ-950 is suspended over the selling area: the pan sits at working height with no body or base underneath to get in the way, which also makes it possible to clean the surface thoroughly at closing time without moving the equipment.

Approved for trade, and what that involves afterwards
The DQ-950 hanging model is supplied with EC verification, and an ENAC certificate is available as an option. A scale used to price a sale to the public is a non-automatic weighing instrument under Directive 2014/31/EU: it has to be trade approved, carrying the CE marking, the green M marking and its accuracy class, before it can lawfully settle a transaction.
Approval is not a one-off event. An instrument in service is subject to periodic reverification by an authorised body at the intervals set by the national authority, and to a further verification after any repair or after the seals have been broken. Where the scale prints a label that travels with the product to the final consumer, that label falls under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, and in a food business the equipment sits within the hygiene requirements of Regulation (EC) No 852/2004.

How many scales can be linked on one stall?
Up to 16 per section, in a master and slave or master, sub-master and slave arrangement. Communication is over Ethernet TCP/IP and, optionally, Wi-Fi 802.11 or HomePlug, so a tariff change propagates to every unit.
